Some Adults sure Can act like Children
Ok. We've all done it. You know. Acted like the child instead of the adult. This morning it was my wifes turn to have this honr.
We just pourchesed a TIVO. Love it. Nice to be able to record at the touch of a button. We missed having one. The nice thing is it will record tings it thinks you want to see. This caused a problem yesterday. My wife ste up a one time only record for Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Not sure why dhe wanted to record that but to each their own. I did not know she had set it up to record the show and when I saw it on the now playing list I deleated it. I thought it was a TIVO suggestion. I record South Park and thought TIVO was suggesting Mr. Rogers Nieghborhood as something I'd like to see sicne I record South Park. Not sure why it would think that. One show is for kids the other is for adults. To make it more difficult I'm a little collar blind. the icon that indicates a TIVO suggestion looks similar to the icon for a one time record. Unless I look closley I cannot tell the difference between the two. Plus we have no kids so it seemd reasonable to conclude that no one in our house would be recording a PBS kids show. My wife gets mad at me for deleting it and I opologize. Now she should have been an adult about it and grasefully accepted my opology and moved on. But she takes the ten year old child route grabs the remote and deletes one of my shows. Presumably to teach me some kind of lesson. What she proved was her ability to do a great impresion of how a teenager would handle a problem. Not the brightest move. She then had to ask what I was mad about. What I was mad about is I made a mistake because I could not see the difference in the collars of the two icons. She deliberately deleted one of my shows for sojme kind of silly revenge. Her reasoning was because I said "sorry" instead of "I'm Sorry." Sounds rather petty to me. I said I was sorry and meant it. When someone opologises for a mistake. except it and move on. Especially one caused by eyesight. NO need to take revenge like a ten year old.
Now if she had accidentally deleted one of my shows I simply would have eccepted the opology and moved on. It is the adult thing to do.
