Leaving a Ball game early is disrespectful

My wife and I went to the White Sox vs Angels game on Sunday and watched the Sox get spanked six to one. What I found disturbing is the number of people who leave a sporting event early when a team is down by a bunch of runs. In the eighth inning when the Angels hit their fourth home run of the game the stands started emptying out. True the Sox did lose the game but in baseball you never know what can happen. A team can get lucky and come back to win a game in the last inning. When I saw people leave early I was really hoping the White Sox would come back and win so the people who left early would feel like idiots. First, leaving before the game is over no matter how bad the team is losing is disrespectful to your team. Second, if I pay good money to see a game I'm staying until the last out is made because you never know what is going to happen. It is rare but I have seen teams come from big deficits to win a game on the last at bat. Show some respect for your team and stay for the whole game.
